Cape EGS: Gold 2-IB Mass Spectrometry and Mudlogs
This dataset contains logs and summaries from the Gold 2-IB well at the Cape EGS site near Utah FORGE, collected during operations in fall 2024. The dataset includes a mass spectrometry log, mudlog, measurement while drilling (MWD) data, and daily geology summaries. The mass spectrometry data provide detailed depth-dependent gas composition profiles and compounds released during drilling. Mudlogs offer continuous lithological records based on drill cuttings and drilling parameters, capturing mineralogical and lithostratigraphic variations across the borehole. MWD logs contain real-time drilling parameters including gamma ray, temperature, and rate of penetration, recorded throughout the drilling interval. Daily geology summaries consolidate operational and geological observations from each day of drilling into tabular format. All data are labeled with depth and standard measurement units. Data formats include LAS (Log ASCII Standard).
