GLADE Project: Pre-Drill Permit Plans for GLADE East and GLADE West wells
Permit Plans for GLADE East and GLADE West wells in the DJ Basin, Colorado. Files contain pre-drill permit information on the siting and anti-collision analysis for the wells. Wellbore trajectories are evaluated to position the wells within and around existing wellbores. Files include well survey information, anticollision reports and analysis as part of the pre-drill permitting process. Reports and tabular data files are included in the formats of .pdf, .txt, and .xls.
The Geothermal Limitless Approach to Drilling Efficiencies (GLADE) project was undertaken in Denver-Julesburg (DJ) Basin Colorado to evaluate whether advanced oil and gas drilling practices could be adapted to improve geothermal well construction in deep, hot, hard-rock environments. Funded by the U.S. Department of Energy Geothermal Technologies Office and executed by Oxy, the project focused on drilling two deep wells, GLADE West and GLADE East, through the sedimentary section and into Precambrian granitic basement.
