This experiment is testing the tube waves reflected from the bottom of the well. We put six single-channel geophones on the surface and a 24-channel downhole hydrophone into the well. The well is about 30 meters deep. Just a steel casing in the sand formation, no cement.
This is a presentation on the Zonal Isolation Solution for Geothermal Wells by PetroQuip Energy Services, presented by Robert Coon. This video slide presentation discusses the proposed design and development of a multi-stage system consisting of an Open-Hole Packer (OHP), a Locki...
This is a presentation on the Zonal Isolation Solution for Geothermal Wells project by PetroQuip Energy Services, presented by VP of operations Robert Coon. The project's objective was to design and develop a multi-stage system for zonally isolating fluids inside and outside of g...
The Newberry Volcano EGS Demonstration in central Oregon, a 5 year project begun in 2010, tests recent technological advances designed to reduce the cost of power generated by EGS in a hot, dry well (NWG 55-29) drilled in 2008. First, the stimulation pumps used were designed to ru...
Objectives
Options associated with geothermal drilling operations are generally limited by factors such as formation temperature and rock strength. The objective of the research is to expand the "tool box" available to the geothermal driller by furthering the development of a hig...
This dataset includes geological and geophysical well logs from the Gold 4-PB well at the Cape EGS site near Utah FORGE, collected between December 2024 and January 2025. The dataset covers lithological, geochemical, and petrophysical data acquired during and after drilling. Data ...
This dataset includes geological and geophysical well log data from the Gold 6-IB well at the Cape EGS site in Utah, collected between January and April 2025. The data span the full well depth from surface to total depth (15,054 feet) and encompass mud log information, mass spectr...
This data set includes drill rig drilling parameters from well Cornell ESH #1 (API 31109300030000), known as the Cornell University Borehole Observatory, or CUBO. It is a stratigraphic well drilled to characterize potential EGS resources. The Drilling commenced on June 21, 2022 an...
For the model calculation we applied EM3D using completion diagram of CaMI site and a background resistivity consistent with the borehole logs. It was also important to use the accurate position of the return electrode. We note that for the data fit the code also incorporated we...

The data is associated to the Fallon FORGE project and includes mudlogs for all wells used to characterize the subsurface, as wells as gravity, magnetotelluric, earthquake seismicity, and temperature data from the Navy GPO and Ormat. Also included are geologic maps from the USGS a...
