Utah FORGE: Triggered DAS Data from the April 2024 Mini-Circulation Test
This dataset contains distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) data collected during the April 2024 mini-circulation test at the Utah FORGE site. Data were acquired from wells 16B(78)-32 and 58-32 during the mini-circulation period from April 23-28, 2024, following stimulation of the injection and production wells earlier that month. The dataset also includes DAS data from a short period on June 9, 2024, from well 58-32 only.
The data are provided as SGY files organized by collection date and well. The files are essentially SEG-Y format, but due to trace length issues, they are not compatible with standard seismic processing tools such as ObsPy without a custom reader. A linked GitHub repository provides tools for reading the April 2024 Utah FORGE DAS SGY data into a standard ObsPy stream.
This submission also links to related Utah FORGE datasets, including DAS/seismic data from the preceding stimulation test and DAS/seismic data from the later, longer circulation test conducted in August 2024. A linked metadata resource provides well trajectories that can be used to map DAS channel depths to physical locations in 3D space.
