Utah FORGE: DAS and Downhole Geophone Data from the August-September 2024 Circulation Test
This dataset contains distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) and downhole geophone data collected during the August-September 2024 circulation period at the Utah FORGE site. The DAS data were acquired from well 16B(78)-32 as continuous H5 records during circulation operations. Embedded file metadata includes strain-rate measurements, GPS timing, 10 m gauge length, 500 Hz maximum frequency, and 1000 Hz output data rate. The DAS data include records from August 2024 into September 2024.
The dataset also includes downhole three-component geophone data from wells 56-32 and 78B-32 in DAT files structured as SEG-2 files. The well 56-32 files contain data from one three-component geophone at measured depth 5052.00 m, and the well 78B-32 files contain data from two three-component geophones at measured depths 4581.25 m and 4613.00 m. Embedded file metadata includes 2000 Hz sampling, 12-second records, GPS clock synchronization, receiver locations, channel numbers, calibration factors, and units in meters.
