List of triggered events recorded on LBNL's permanent EGS seismic array at Brady's geothermal field. This submission also includes links to the NCEDC EGS Earthquake Catalog Search page and to the metadata for the seismic array installed at Brady's Geothermal Field.
Links and instructions for downloading Brady's triggered seismic network waveform data from the Northern California Earthquake Data Center (NCEDC). Data from 7/5/10-1/18/13 presently available.
Utah FORGE held a two-day seismic workshop on the University of Utah campus in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 26 and 27, 2022 to share what was learned from the seismic monitoring during the 2022 stimulation. This is a report documenting this workshop. The meeting was structure...
Continuous seismic recordings from six Reftek seismometers deployed at Bradys Hot Springs geothermal field in Nevada from March 9th to 30th, 2016. Data is archived in mseed format.
Five of the six stations are under a moratorium.
These files are ambient noise correlation (ANC) functions calculated for 11 days of continuous seismic data recorded by the Lawrence Berkeley network in the Brady geothermal field. These are SAC formatted seismic waveforms. The stations included are BPB04, BPB05, BPB07, BPB08, BP...
Hypocenters of local microearthquakes and 3D P and S-velocity models computed by simultaneous inversion of arrival times recorded by the Brady seismic network Nov 2010-Mar 2015.
This archive provides a a link to a microseismic event catalog of the 2024 stimulations at Utah FORGE. The catalog was derived from data collected with the surface monitoring network consisting of 5 permanent seismic stations deployed by the University of Utah Seismograph Station...
This submission contains 167 deviatoric moment tensor (MT) solutions for the seismicity observed two years prior and three years post start of injection activities at The Geysers Prati 32 EGS Demonstration. Also included is a statistical representation of the properties of 751 fra...
Preliminary 1D seismic velocity model derived from ambient noise correlation. 28 Green's functions filtered between 4-10 Hz for Vp, Vs, and Qs were calculated. 1D model estimated for each path. The final model is a median of the individual models. Resolution is best for the top 1 ...
Map of DAS, nodal, vibroseis and Reftek stations during March 2016 deployment. The plot on the left has nodal stations labeled; the plot on the right has vibroseis observations labeled. Stations are shown in map-view using Brady's rotated X-Y coordinates with side plots denoting...
Metadata for the Reftek seismometer array deployed at the POROTOMO's Natural Laboratory in Brady Hot Spring, Nevada during the March 2016 testing.
Effective enhanced geothermal systems (EGS) require optimal fracture networks for efficient heat transfer between hot rock and fluid. Microseismic mapping is a key tool used to infer the subsurface fracture geometry. Traditional earthquake detection and location techniques are oft...
Data resources were derived from a passive seismic survey of the northern St. Helens Shear Zone on geothermal leases 12-24 km north of Mount St. Helens for phase 2 of the Geothermal Play-Fairway Analysis of Washington State Prospects. A 20 seismic station array of broadband seismo...
The EGS Collab Experiment took place at the Sanford Underground Research Facility at the Homestake gold mine in Lead, SD, USA. This dataset includes the NSF SAGE website where seismic waveform data from this experiment can be downloaded.
Two broadband seismometers were installed...
Effective enhanced geothermal systems (EGS) require optimal fracture networks for efficient heat transfer between hot rock and fluid. Microseismic mapping is a key tool used to infer the subsurface fracture geometry. Traditional earthquake detection and location techniques are oft...
This dataset includes microseismic surface network catalogs for Utah FORGE. Data were recorded during the stimulation of well 16A(78)-32 in 2022 and the circulation tests between wells 16A(78)-32 and 16B(78)-32 in 2023. Near-surface seismic monitoring during circulation experimen...
This dataset contains continuous seismic waveform data recorded during stimulation and thermal circulation tests for the Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS) Collab Experiment #2, conducted from February to September 2022 at the Sanford Underground Research Facility in Lead, South Da...
This package contains triggered 3-component surface nodal seismic waveforms recorded during the FOAL 1 experiment, or FORGE Observation Array Linear #1, which occurred during the April 2022 hydraulic stimulation of well 16A(78)-32 at the Utah FORGE EGS site. This data was utilized...
This link points to the Northern California Earthquake Data Center (NCEDC) to access The Geysers seismic broadband data. The two available data sets consist of continuous waveform data recorded at The Geysers from July 2012 to July 2013 and a processed catalog with earthquake info...
This dataset contains microseismic event data collected by Geo-Energie Suisse during circulation testing of wells 16A(78)-32 and 16B(78)-32 at the Utah FORGE site in August and September 2024. The data were recorded using a local monitoring network and include key event parameters...
This dataset contains seismic event catalogs from the hydraulic stimulation of wells 16A(78)-32 and 16B(78)-32 at the Utah FORGE site in April 2024. The data was collected by Geo Energy Suisse (GES) using a variety of seismic monitoring technologies, including 3-component (3C) geo...
These files contain the output of a model calculation to simulate the pressure and temperature of fluid at Brady Hot Springs, Nevada, USA. The calculation couples the hydrologic flow (Darcy's Law) with simple thermodynamics. The epoch of validity is 24 March 2015. Coordinates are ...
